Celebrating the life of
Eva Joan Bunzel Bulman
April 07, 1933 - September 29, 2015
Eva Joan Bulman (née Bunzel) died unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, GA. Born on April 7, 1933 in Vienna, Austria, she immigrated to New York City with her parents and brother Eric when she was six year’s old. Eva spent her youth between boarding schools and summer camps in the northeast. She majored in music and went to Lasell Junior College in Massachusetts. Her first job was with Columbia Records. Eva was a member of Robert Shaw’s Collegiate Chorale and proudly sang in many of New York’s major venues under other conductors as well. Singing remained a pleasure all her life, along with classical music and opera. Eva left for San Francisco and spent four years as assistant to the VP of NBC Network and then later returned to NYC as assistant for the NBC VP National Program Sales.
She met her beloved husband, Harold Bulman at a wedding of a mutual friend and they were married in 1965. Their two daughters, Diana and Linda, survive her. Eva and Harold spent twenty years in Westport, Connecticut but moved to the Landings in 1994 and the Marshes in August 2014. Eva was an avid photographer and the recipient of many ribbons from the Landings Art Association for her photography of flowers and architecture. She was active in St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.
Surviving Eva are her husband of fifty years, Harold; their daughters Diana Bulman of Cleveland, Ohio and Linda Bulman Hannum of Oakland, CA, her husband Patrick and children Laila and Ian, and Eva’s sister-in-law Laida Bunzel.
A funeral will be held at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church on Saturday, October 3 at 11am followed by a reception in the great hall. Eva will be buried in their memorial garden where her loving husband can visit with her always.
Remembrances may be made to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 3 West Ridge Road, Savannah, Georgia 31411.

I would like to express my condolences to the family of Mrs. Bulman. No doubt many will feel the loss of such a dear loved one. May you all find comfort in the loving promise found at Revelation 21:4 "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."
